I’m loving this gorgeous, light-filled space today. I could spend a few hours blogging away in front of that window. I wonder what it overlooks? I love the combination of the utilitarian desk and French chair. The shelving is great, too! I would be more than happy to call this chic office my own.
Have a great weekend!

{A Beautiful Centerpiece by White Lilac}
Social networking is a beautiful thing. I have met some amazing friends through blogging and it’s incredible that I have more in common with them than with people I’ve known for years. Social networking has allowed me to connect with people who share my same interests and I have met people whom I otherwise would have never known.
Just the other day, I was looking at the profile of someone in the bridal industry who had just added me as a friend on Facebook. I noticed she had commented on an image of gorgeous florals belonging to Sunny Ravanbach, owner of White Lilac, an event design studio in Orange County, California. I contacted Sunny who was incredibly sweet and agreed to let me do a feature on her AMAZING work. You are definitely in for a treat!
{Sequins Can Be Your Best Friend}
This was the event that kicked off my obsession with Sunny’s out of this world designs. How fabulous is this? It feels so special and features all of my favorite blooms in various shades of pink. Perfection!
According to Sunny, the inspiration for this event was “a piece of scrap Donna Karan fabric I found in downtown Los Angeles.I wanted to do an event where sequins were featured in an elegant way. The pailette chair covers and the sequins on the containers were the base and I wanted to incorporate pink in a sweet but not too too girlie way... so we did gradations of muted pinks to the hotter shade. We used parrot tulips, garden roses, peonies, ranunculas.”
Does it get any more glamorous? I don’t think so!
{Rooftop Shindig in Los Angeles}
The Rooftop Shindig was for the opening of a new building in West Hollywood. Sunny drew her inspiration from the hip, modern décor already present in the building.
White Lilac commissioned custom ceramic vases for the events and dressed the pre-exisiting rooftop structure with swags of butter yellow dupioni silk and lime green and yellow lanterns.
The floral designs for this event featured parrot tulips, garden roses, white anenomes with black centers, and yellow billy balls.
{Louis Vuitton Dinner}
This dinner was hosted by Louis Vuitton for their top client in California who happened to love red roses. Sunny chose gorgeous Black Baccarat and Black Magic Roses. So romantic!
White Lilac had these black plexiglass LV Fleur de Lys motifs custom made, strung them with votives, and hung them overhead.
{Wedding at Pelican Hill Resort}
For this event, White Lilac used a soft palette with shades of pink and lilac.
I love the lush arrangements and the chic ghost chairs.
{Jonathan Adler-Inspired Wedding in Palm Springs}
I would be hard pressed to find a better theme for an event in Palm Springs. I love the pops of orange! Simply fabulous!
A variety of flowers were used for this event, including my favorite bloom: pink peonies.
I like that they used a variety of new and vintage vases and containers for the flowers.
How fun are these cranes? I would love to see what the bride wore for this wedding!
{London Calling}
Are these not the prettiest flowers? They were designed for a wedding at the London West Hollywood Hotel, a super chic hotel designed by David Collins.
I love the soft pink palette and lush arrangements. It all feels very romantic.
A Close-up of the Ravishing Centerpiece
This beautiful baby shower was held in honor of Katie, one of the girls at White Lilac.
I love that every detail is so pretty and feminine. How gorgeous is the cake?
Pretty Centerpiece
{Bright Colors at a Wedding Reception}
Doesn’t this look like a fairytale centerpiece? I love the flowering branches and the cascade of blooms beneath them.
I really love that this couple opted for bright colors at their wedding.
{Indian-Inspired Wedding}
The glamorous tone for this event is set from the moment you walk in.
The Bride chose fuchsia with gold accents for a luxe look.
Gorgeous Details
How amazing are these elephants made of flowers?
Sunny and her White Lilac crew are such visionaries! I am seriously head over heels for their gorgeous, impeccable work. Each of these events is so different from the last and it is evident that Sunny is really in tune with her clients. The designs for each event feel and look completely bespoke and special. I love all of the events I featured in this post, but I can’t get over the one with the sequins. Aren’t those flowers just insanely gorgeous? Which is your favorite?

It has been ages since I’ve done a kitchen post. I think the last official post was last April when I blogged about black and grey kitchens. As I researched and went through my files for this morning’s post for Circa’s blog on beautiful kitchens with equally gorgeous lighting, I came across a lot of kitchens I had saved in the course of the last year and fell in love with them all over again. I’ve divided them into three categories and truth be told, I’d be hard pressed to find a favorite. I think it would totally depend on my mood!
{I love the casual elegance of this kitchen featured in House Beautiful. Even though, the space is a little tight, the designer has made great use of what is available and maximizes the space by drawing the eye up with great lighting from Circa and a mirror.}
{This just seems like the most charming country house!}
{This sweet, charming kitchen was featured in Country Home Magazine. The crystal chandelier, beamed ceiling, and white-washed chairs lend an air of casual elegance to the room.}
{I love the cabinetry and classic subway tile in this teeny, tiny kitchen. Notice how small the range and sink are. Image via Daisy Pink Cupcake}
{This kitchen is gorgeous, isn’t it? I can just smell the aroma of French bread baking in the oven when I look at this. The combination of beautiful cabinetry, striped runner, mid-century modern lighting, and rustic tables is tres chic, non? Image Credit: Marie Claire Maison}

{This kitchen was recently featured in House Beautiful and caused quite a stir! It is housed in what used to be the historic home’s dining room. It is the type of room that causes a definite visceral reaction. You either love it or hate it right away.}

{I happen to think this kitchen is very beautiful, but can’t imagine that it would be super practical for someone who cooks a lot. You would be wiping of those frames and the mirror over the range every five minutes!}
{I love the turquoise accents in the kitchen of Juicy Couture co-founder, Pamela Skaist-Levy which was featured in Haper’s Bazaar back in 2005.}
{I came across this fantastic, coastal-style kitchen on The Polished Pebble while researching kitchens for my post on Circa Lighting’s blog. Isn’t it a great space?}
{The Eugene Pendants look fantastic in this kitchen! I love how well they lend themselves to coastal, country, eclectic, or industrial-influenced styles.}
{I could totally see myself in this beautiful kitchen by Brown Design. I love how it is flooded with light. The hood and subway tile in the range area look fabulous!}
{I could totally picture myself in this kitchen as well. The cabinetry is great. I love the sharp contrast of the white cabinets and black countertops as well as the nook with the banquette and black wall, but the star of the show is definitely that gorgeous green subway tile. {Another classic kitchen with colored tile. This time, it’s a pretty aqua hue. Image via Shelter}
{This kitchen from Southern Accents looks very architectural to me. I love the use of clean lines and a soft palette. They really help make the beautiful windows a focal point.}
{This gorgeous, grey kitchen from Country Style has the most phenomenal island! Isn’t it great? I probably would have chosen different lighting though to add some warmth from all that grey.}
{This lovely kitchen was submitted by a reader to Decorno. Isn’t it wonderful? I love the custom cabinetry, carrera marble island, and those great teak stools.}
{This kitchen from the May 2009 issue of ELLE DECOR features all of my favorite elements along with a a marble-top Saarinen Tulip table.}
{I wouldn’t usually opt for brass hardware, but I think it looks great in this elegant kitchen from House Beautiful.}
{In the past, I’ve admitted to watching Tori Spelling’s show, Tori and Dean. I think her kitchen is great and love the gorgeous parquet floors.}
{This kitchen was featured in a real estate listing for a house in Houston. Unfortunately, the house sold before I had a chance to post about it, but I thought the kitchen was great. Style certainly meets function in this space.}
{This kitchen by Jessica Helgerson features many traditional elements, such as the gorgeous cabinetry and carrera subway tile (swoon!), but I opted to put it in this category because of the modern lighting and stools.}
{The home of Dwell Studio partner Jenna Chused was featured in Martha Stewart Living last fall. I loved her entire home and was really taken with this charming galley kitchen. Of course, the textiles are fantastic.}
{The lighting and thick slabs of marble use in this kitchen photographed by Jean Randazzo definitely make it veer towards a more modern aesthetic.}
{I love the overall style of this kitchen by Breathing Room Designs. While the kitchen itself is quite classic, the lighting and furniture give it a more eclectic vibe.}
{This teeny, tiny kitchen was featured on Desire to Inspire. Despite its miniscule size, it has miles of style. How fabulous are the framed photographs?}

{I absolutely love everything that Angie Hranowsky does and her kitchen is no exception! Lucite bar stools, black cabinetry, open shelving, marble counters, and iridescent subway tile? Yes, please!
{I love the commercial quality this kitchen has. I think I’d feel like a pro cooking here. I love the subway tile nook for the range and the lighting is fantastic! I’m so glad to see the large, wooden table. It adds a sense of warmth. Image via: Sarah’s Fab Day}
{I can’t get enough of the bold colors and wonderful patterns used in the fabulous Cottage Living Idea House 2008 kitchen designed by Jackie Terrell.}
{How fabulous is the lighting in this kitchen?}
Which style do you most identify with? If you could have your pick, which kitchen would you choose? If you’re as indecisive about this sort of thing as I am, you can pick one from each category!
Please be sure to stop by Circa Lighting’s blog for my post on beautiful lighting options for your kitchen.
